Chester RUFC is one of the most successful rugby clubs in Cheshire, with almost 1,300 members. Founded in 1925, Chester RUFC has played a central role in the local community for many years and has continued to go from strength to strength since then.
We spoke to Gemma Morton, Mini’s and Juniors Communications Manager, about the challenges Chester RUFC faced before using LoveAdmin and how we’ve worked together to help solve them.
Chester RUFC were growing quickly, and with over 20 teams to manage, so was their admin. They needed to find a software that could simplify and automate their admin tasks, boost their payment collections, enhance their communications, and grow with them.

Chester RUFC use the Contact CRM to keep all member information in one place, and from there send messages to groups they’ve created. They use reporting to track who has or hasn’t seen the messages sent.

Creating a bespoke, branded online shop, Chester has boosted revenue by allowing members to easily buy Chester RUFC merchandise.

The Chester team managed and promoted the 2023 tour for six teams using their custom online shop. They also handled social events, ticket and table sales through the same system.

Using the smooth checkout system has allowed Chester RUFC to successfully process 1,900 payments in one season, including subscriptions for over 16 teams.
