How to get involved with the Swim to the Beat campaign

Join the STA and British Heart Foundation for a month of fundraising.

The Swim to the Beat campaign brings the swimming community together by inviting swim schools, clubs, and leisure facilities to participate and fundraise in February.

STA explains, “The idea is to get everyone together to swim or splash to the beat. It’s far-reaching, reflecting STA’s portfolio of activities, which is why we think this aquatic-themed fundraising campaign is so different and unique.”

Both the STA and British Heart Foundation share a common aim of saving lives through education and awareness, so seeing these two powerhouses come together for one fun campaign is great to see.

Here is everything you need to know about the campaign, including how to get involved with the Swim to the Beat campaign at your swim school.

When does Swim to the Beat take place?

The Swim to the Beat challenge takes place across the whole of February 2023 for Heart Month.

Who can join in the fun?

One of the great things about the Swim to the Beat campaign is that it’s inclusive. In fact, everyone and anyone involved in aquatics can join in! This includes:

  • Swimming teachers
  • Swim schools
  • Swim academies
  • Swim coaches
  • Swimmers
  • School teachers

How can you get involved with Swim to the Beat?

Taking part is simple. All you need to do is register your participation with the STA. When you sign up, you’ll be officially part of the campaign and able to start planning your own Swim to the Beat event.

What do you receive?

You’ll receive a digital fundraising pack, which is jam-packed with fun ideas and also a guide on how to host your event. Your pack also has details on how to get in touch with the British Heart Foundation to get your fundraising kits, banners and buckets.

Also, each registered swim school will receive two British Heart Foundation t-shirts for their teachers and the top three fundraisers at every school will receive a medal. All participants will receive a digital certificate (included in the digital fundraising pack).
